A panhandler who witnesses said was harrassing girls selling Girl Scout cookies outside the Jewel grocery store on Chicago Avenue was arrested Saturday and charged with disorderly conduct. This among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Otis M. Graham, 47, of 1458 Chicago Ave., was arrested at the Jewel grocery store at 1128 Chicago Ave. at 10:39 a.m. Saturday and charged with disorderly conduct.
According to EPD Cmdr. Ryan Glew, police were summoned by an Evanston man who tried to stop Graham from interfering with the girls, who had a table set up outside the store to sell cookies. When Graham would not leave the girls alone, Glew said, the man called police.
Graham is due in court on April 2 at 9 a.m.
Battery
1454 Elmwood
Denise A. Gaines, 31, of 244 Callan Ave., was arrested at Evanston police headquarters at 11:59 a.m. Wednesday and charged with aggravated battery to a child under the age of 13.

1900 Jackson
A broken window provided access for a burglar to an apartment in the 1900 block of Jackson Avenue between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday. Nothing was reported missing.

The passenger side molding was broken off a 2012 Hyundai in the 1600 block of Monroe Street between 8:30 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. Friday.
1400 Dobson
Water damage occurred in the basement of a home in the 1400 block of Dobson Street between noon Saturday and 6:30 a.m. yesterday.
900 Greenleaf
Someone damaged the driver’s mirror and deflated a tire on a 2007 Honda in the 900 block of Greenleaf Street between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday.
Graffiti
Dodge at Mulford
Graffiti was discovered on railroad property at Dodge Avenue and Mulford Street at 9:55 a.m. Saturday.
Murder
1800 Simpson
A Chicago man was shot to death in a parking lot in the 1800 block of Simpson Street around 9:30 p.m. Friday.

600 Chicago
An article of clothing was taken while unsecured from a restaurant in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue between 12:01 a.m. on March 1 and 4 p.m. Friday.
1700 Maple
A purse was taken while unsecured at a grocery store in the 1700 block of Maple Avenue around 8 p.m. Saturday.
2100 Green Bay
Milk and cereal were stolen from the shelves of Walgreens Pharamcy in the 2100 block of Green Bay Road around 8:30 p.m. Saturday.
700 Howard
Keys were taken while unsecured at a hair care salon in the 700 block of Howard Street between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Friday.
1640 Chicago
Gabrielle Cavaliere, 20, of 1055 W. Granville Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1640 Chicago Ave. at 2:23 p.m. Saturday and charged with retail theft. She is due in court on March 19 at 9 a.m.
Mariah Dashae Weems, 27, of 1454 Simpson St., was arrested at 1640 Chicago Ave. at 7:16 p.m. Friday and charged with retail theft. She is due in court on April 26 at 10:30 a.m.

Tiffany L. Gourley, 41, of 1809 Lyons St., was arrested at 1616 Sherman Ave. at 12:30 p.m. Saturday and charged with retail theft. She is due in court on March 26 at 9 a.m.

Richard J. Byrne, 63, of 808 Forest Ave., was arrested at that address at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on April 12 at 10:30 a.m.

Antonio U. Cantero, 48, of 2047 Estes Ave., Chicago, was arrested at Ridge Avenue and Main Street at 11:40 p.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on March 28 at 9 a.m.

Alberto J. Perez, 27, of 2310 N. Harlem Ave., Elmwood Park, was arrested at 600 Ridge Ave. at 10:52 a.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on April 9 at 1:30 p.m.

Marcelino Pichardo, 35, of 7516 ½ N. Ridge Blvd., Chicago, was arrested at Howard Street and Bell Avenue at 6:22 p.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on April 19 at 10:30 a.m.
Elmwood at Madison
Crystal Swanson, 67, of 834 Washington St., was arrested at Elmwood Avenue and Madison Street at 8:17 p.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on April 12 at 10:30 a.m.
