A 42-year-old Evanston man was arrested twice yesterday within the same hour in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue and charged with trespassing. This story among others in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Criminal Trespassing

1111 Chicago

Anthony A. Richardson, 42, of 901 Maple Ave., was arrested at 1111 Chicago Ave. at 5:30 p.m. and then again at 1128 Chicago Ave. at 6:12 p.m. and charged both times with trespassing on real property.

Burglary

2200 Oakton

A laptop computer was stolen from an unlocked Honda in a business parking lot in the 2200 block of Oakton Street between 6:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. yesterday.

Theft

1100 Chicago

Alcoholic products were taken from the shelves of the Jewel-Osco grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue around 2:39 p.m. and again at 2:45 p.m. yesterday.

1600 Sherman

A purse was taken at 1:16 p.m. yesterday and miscellaneous merchandise at 5:22 p.m. Friday at the Target department store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue.

Traffic

Oakton at Custer

Carlton A. Johns, 32, of 2002 Darrow Ave., was arrested at Oakton Street and Custer Avenue at 3:35 p.m. Sunday and charged with a traffic violation.

2400 Lyons

Alicia N. Skipworth, 48, of 1810 Dodge Ave., was arrested at 2400 Lyons St. at 8:40 p.m. Sunday and charged with driving under the influence.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
