Evanston police arrested a 27-year-old homeless man on Maple Avenue, charging him with battery, and a 55-year-old man on Dodge Avenue, charging  him with assault. These among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Battery

1818 Maple

Larry Washington, 27, who was listed as homeless, was arrested at the Hilton Garden Inn,1818 Maple Ave., at 5:46 p.m. yesterday, following an altercation with a hotel employee, and was charged with battery. He is due in court on May 26 at 10:30 a.m.

Assault

1567 Dodge

Jeffrey J. Williams, 55, of 1567 Dodge Ave., was arrested at that address at 6:44 p.m. yesterday and charged with assault of a female acquaintance.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
