Evanston’s Lakeshore Arts Festival resumes today at Dawes Park, after vendors had to pack up early on Saturday because of the threat of late-afternoon thunderstorms that were sweeping through the area.

The annual show, now in its 40th year, feaues over 100 visual artists, as well as musical acts, hands-on art crafts for children, and concession stands.

Though the festival artists had to pack up early on Saturday, the event will continue Sunday morning.

Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dawes Park is on Sheridan Road at Church Street.
