Police arrested a 44-year-old Chicago man last night after an altercation with an Albany Care caseworker in Grey Park, at Main Street and Ridge Avenue, and charged him with aggravated assault with a boxcutter. This among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

901 Ridge
Robert N. Saenz, 44, of 7377 N. Winchester Ave., was arrested at 901 Ridge Ave. at 10:28 p.m. yesterday and charged with aggravated assault with a boxcutter. He is due in court on July 29 at 9 a.m.
Burglary
900 Hamlin’
A bicycle was taken from the unlocked garage of a home in the 900 block of Hamlin Street between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. yesterday.
Graffiti
800 Lake
Graffiti was discovered at an office building in the 800 block of Lake Street at 4:01 p.m. yesterday.
Shots Heard
600 Mulford
Gunshots were reported in the 600 block of Mulford Street at 1:05 a.m. today. Police checked the area but found nothing.
Theft
800 Dodge
Food items were taken from a convenience store in the 800 block of Dodge Avenue around 10:23 p.m. Monday.
800 Chicago
A bicycle locked to a bike rack in the 800 block of Chicago Avenue was stolen between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. yesterday.
500 Main
Food was stolen from a restaurant in the 500 block of Main Street around 3:50 p.m. yesterday.
1600 Hinman
A purse with driver’s license, credit cards, and a cell phone was taken while unattended from The Homestead in the 1600 block of Hinman Avenue around 7 a.m. yesterday.
1600 Sherman
A wallet, containing credit cards and cash, was taken while unattended at a retail establishment in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. yesterday.
2100 Foster
A bicycle was taken from the yard of a home in the 2100 block of Foster Street between 9 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. yesterday.
300 Ridge
A backpack containing cash, jewelry, credit cards, and a passport was taken while unattended at Presence St. Francis Hospital between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on July 2.
Traffic
1734 Hovland
Gerardo Marin, 38, of 1817 Lyons St., was arrested at 1734 Hovland Court at 7:50 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Aug. 12 at 9 a.m.
An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
