Burglars took drugs and miscellaneous merchandise from cars parked in the 1600 block of Maple Avenue and the 1000 block of Dodge Avenue. These among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.
Burglary
1600 Maple
Drugs were reported taken from an unlocked 2017 Acura in a general use parking lot in the 1600 block of Maple Avenue between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. yesterday.
1000 Dodge
Miscellaneous merchandise was missing after someone entered a 2009 Lexus in an apartment parking space in the 1000 block of Dodge Avenue between 4 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
Graffiti
2400 Prairie
Graffiti was discovered on the street near Haven Middle School in the 2400 block of Prairie Avenue at 10:54 a.m. yesterday.
Other
Dempster at Hartrey
Police received a report of a man with a gun near Dempster Street and Hartrey Avenue at 4:36 p.m. yesterday. They checked the area but found no man with a gun.
1301 Brummel
Charles Devon Harris, 32, address unknown, was arrested at 1301 Brummel St. at 2:28 a.m. today and charged with violating an order of protection.
An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
