Burglary

1000 Sherman

Cash was taken from a 2025 Volkswagen in the 1000 block of Sherman Avenue between 11:30 p.m. Friday and 8:56 a.m. Saturday.

Theft

1600 Sherman

A wallet was stolen from an unlocked locker at a health club in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. yesterday.

Battery

Lake at Dodge

Jerell D. Williams, 26, of 1621 Simpson St., was arrested at Lake Street and Dodge Avenue at 11:22 a.m. yesterday and charged with battery to a police officer.

Other

600 Dempster

Police received a report of a man with a gun in the 600 block of Dempster Street at about 11 a.m. Saturday. They checked the area but found no man with a gun.

Shots Heard

Foster at Brown

Gunshots were reported at Foster Street and Brown Avenue at 4:53 p.m. Saturday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

Traffic

Lake at Dodge

Thomas L. Dobbins, 54, of 1326 S. 17th Ave., Maywood, was arrested at Lake Street and Dodge Avenue at 6:40 a.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on Feb. 22 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
