The Bar Louie restaurant chain, including the location at 1520 Sherman Ave. in Evanston, has been sold.

Florida-based Sun Capital Partners Inc. announced today that a Sun affiliate has acquired the 36-restaurant chain launched in Chicago in 1991.

Terms of the purchase from Restaurants-America were not disclosed. Bar Louie was the flagship of Chicago restaurateur Roger Greenfield, a principal of Restaurants America.

Sun principal Anthony G. Polazzi, said, “Bar Louie is a wonderful restaurant and bar concept. We look forward to working with management on strengthening its current market position and further differentiate the chain in the casual to upscale market segment.”

Boston Market and Brugger’s Bagels are among the other restaurant brands owned by Sun.
