The Evanston Wildkits came from behind but couldn’t maintain their lead in a baseball matchup at Libertyville this afternoon.

The Wildkits fell behind early 4-0 thru three innings but struck for six runs in the fourth and took the lead with two more in the top of the 5th but could not hold on. Libertyville scored two runs in the fifth and four more in the sixth to win the game 10-8.

Connor Hackett and Max Siedlecki each had two hits for the Wildkits, and Brandon Vamarasi had four runs batted in.

Charlie Binford started on the mound for Evanston and was relieved by Miles Shatkin, Josh Isenstein and Jack Anderson.

The loss ended a 3-1 week for Evanston.  The Kits are back in action Monday on the road at CSL foe Maine East. Evanston’s record is now 11-7 (2-0 in CSL).
