New Trier broke open a scoreless game with 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th on 3 consecutive singles and defeated Evanston 2-0 this afternoon in Winnetka.

Evanston threatened with runners at 1st and 2nd in the 7th but was unable to push acros any runs.

Jordan Crawford went the distance for the Kits pitching 6 strong innings giving up 6 hits and striking out 4. Offensively, the Kits managed only 3 hits. Matt Carmichael was 2 for 2 for Evanston.

Evanston is now 18-11 and 9-7 in the CSL.
