Evanston Township High School’s varsity baseball team got back on the winning track with a 9-5 road game victory over CSL crossover foe Maine East Wednesday afternoon.

Evanston was led offensively by Eli Otting and Martin Fenn who both were 3 for 3 with 2 RBI.  Otting had a solo home run in the Kits three-run fifth inning and double in a four-run third inning.

Jack Blanchard also had two hits for Evanston along with two stolen bases. Evanston had 15 hits in the game.​

On the mound, James Allen earned the win pitching four innings striking out seven batters.  Zach Anderson relieved for the final three inning and didn’t give up any earned runs. 

The Kits are now 12-6-1 on the season and 3-3 in the CSL.  They are at home today against Niles West at 4:45p.m.
