Jeremias Delgado was 3 for 4 and Luke Hackett was 2 for 3 with 3 runs batted in as Evanston Township High School won its second consecutive game with an 8-3 victory over Walter Payton Tuesday afternoon at Evanston Stadium.
The Kits scored two runs in each of the first three innings and then added insurance runs in the fifth and sixth. Luke Hackett had two key RBI hits for the Wildkits. He had a two-run single to break open a 4-3 game in the third and then a two-out RBI single in the fifth.
On the mound, Josh Isenstein started and went the first two innings for the Kits and was relieved by James Hageman, who pitched four innings giving up three hits and one run.
Evanston moves to 4-2 on the season and plays again at home today against Lane Tech at 4:30 p.m.
