Chicago-based The Habitat Company has taken over property management and leasing at The Reserve at Evanston.

The 193-unit, four-story building at1930 Ridge Ave. opened in 2009.

Based on vacancies listed on its website, the building currently appears to be 90.7 percent occupied.

Habitat President Matt Fiascone said in a news release that with the influx of new apartment buildings in the downtown Evanston area, The Reserve’s owners knew the property needed to be refreshed to stay competitive. In addition to assuming the management and leasing at The Reserve, Habitat will also consult on repositioning the asset.

Enhancements are planned for the apartments along with upgrades to the amenity spaces, Fiascone says.
