A 25-unit vintage courtyard apartment building near Evanston’s lakefront, gut-rehabbed for a never-completed condo conversion, has gone on the market for $8.2 million.
The building at 834-840 Judson Ave. was acquired by JMG Ventures LLC in 2006 for $4.5 million, according to county property records.
Mike Anguiano, managing director of listing brokerage Kiser Group, says the property has one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with one to 2½ baths. It also has eight garage parking spots.
Anguiano says the owner recently installed all new mechanical systems and renovated the units to include granite counters, 42-inch cabinets, stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, in-unit washers and dryers, crown molding and stone baths.
“The Judson property presents an investor the opportunity to acquire a gut-renovated, stabilized property in a highly desirable location with a limited supply of similar product,” Anguiano said, adding that the apartments attract commuters to downtown Chicago and professionals working in downtown Evanston.
