A bicycle secured to a bike rack in the 1400 block and grocery items at Whole Foods in the 1600 block were among thefts on Chicago Avenue. These are some of the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Theft

1400 Chicago

A bicycle that was secured to a bike rack in the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue was stolen between noon on June 9 and 9:05 p.m. yesterday.

1600 Chicago

Alcoholic products were stolen from the Whole Foods grocery store in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue around 5:22 p.m. yesterday.

1128 Chicago

Dennis O. Wallace, 22, address unknown, was arrested at 1128 Chicago Ave. at 4 p.m. yesterday and charged with retail theft. He is due in court on July 23 at 9 a.m.

Traffic

1000 Emerson

Justin Eugene Brown, 36, of 8330 Springfield Ave., Skokie, was arrested at 1000 Emerson St. at 6:36 p.m. Monday and charged with a traffic violation.

1014 Main

Ryan William Phelps, 28, of 815 Washington St., was arrested at 1014 Main St. at 3:30 p.m. Monday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on July 27 at 1:30 p.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
