A new bike lane project planned by the City of Chicago would connect Chicago Avenue in Evanston through Rogers Park to Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood.
The under the plan, first reported by DNAinfo.com, the bike lane would start where Chicago Avenue meets Juneway Terrace and run south, mostly on Greenview and Glenwood, to Devon Avenue.
A meeting to discuss the plan is being held by Chicago 49th Ward Alderman Joe Moore at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Field School auditorium at 7019 N. Ashland Ave.
A commenter on The Chainlink forum for cyclists called the proposal “a huge improvement over the current Clark Street option.”
