The annual Evanston Grand Prix bike race returns to Fountain Square on Sunday.

Olympics-level cyclists will careen around downtown streets clocking in at more than 30 mph.

The day features several cycling and festival events beginning at 9 a.m. with races for amateurs. After kids races at 3 p.m., the professionals hit the course at 4 p.m.

Spectators can watch racing for free from any point along the course — and downtown restautrants will be offering outdoor dining along the course.

The weather is expected to be warm, with just a chance of showers. But the races go on rain or shine.
