Theft

900 Ashland

A bicycle was taken while secured from the grounds of Washington Elementary School in the 900 block of Ashland Avenue between 4 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday.

1700 Dobson

All four wheels and tires were stolen from a 2014 Dodge while parked in the 1700 block of Dobson Street around 10:16 a.m. yesterday.

1200 Chicago

An unsecured bicycle was taken from the sidewalk in the 1200 block of Chicago Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Friday.

1600 Sherman

A cell phone was taken from the Target store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 9:37 p.m. and 9:57 p.m. Friday.

2100 Green Bay

Drugs were stolen from Walgreen’s Pharmacy in the 2100 block of Green Bay Road at 9:26 p.m. Saturday.

Assault

706 Lincoln

Michael Straits Sperekas, 18, of 4703 Davis St., Skokie, was arrested at 706 Lincoln St. at 2:05 p.m. yesterday and charged with assault. He is due in court on May 29 at 9 a.m.

2059 Howard

Keith D. Wint, 43, of 7531 N. Hoyne Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2059 W. Howard St., Chicago, at 7:11 p.m. yesterday and charged with assault. He is due in court on May 30 at 9 a.m.

Burglary

600 Hinman

A burglar took cash, credit cards, and a purse from a vehicle with an open window in the 600 block of Hinman Avenue around 5:15 p.m. Friday.

1000 Hinman

A burglar pried open the door to the garage of a home in the 1000 block of Hinman Avenue between 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 5 p.m. yesterday and stole a bicycle.

1000 Church

Cash was taken from an unlocked 2013 Honda in the 1000 block of Church Street between 8:15 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Criminal Damage

1200 Madison

Someone broke a post and fence slats at the yard of a home in the 1200 block of Madison Street between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Friday.

Criminal Trespass

1710 Orrington

Carlotta H. Sims, 53, of 734 W. 47th St., Chicago, was arrested at 1710 Orrington Ave. at 12:45 a.m. today and charged with criminal trespass on real property. She is due in court on May 30 at 9 a.m.

Graffiti

500 Sheridan

Graffiti was discovered on government property in the 500 block of Sheridan Square at 3:06 p.m. Friday.

1000 Ridge

Graffiti was discovered on the garage of a home in the1000 block of Ridge Avenue at midnight yesterday.

2500 Hastings

Graffiti was discovered at a home in the 2500 block of Hastings Avenue at 9 a.m. yesterday.

2400 Orrington

Graffiti was discovered at a home in the 2400 block of Orrington Avenue at 6 a.m. yesterday.

Traffic

1915 Wesley

Angela Grace Saunders, 30, of 2011 Jackson Ave., was arrested at 1915 Wesley Ave. at 11:15 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on June 20 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
