The City of Evanston has scheduled an interactive workshop and bike tour for Saturday, Oct. 26, as part of the process for updating its citywide bike plan.

The event starts with a focus group presentation and public discussion from 9 to 11 a.m. in the auditorium of Evanston Township High School, 1600 Dodge Ave., featuring maps and information assembled by bike plan consulting firm T.Y. Lin International.

A bike tour will follow from noon to 3 p.m. To join the tour, participants must register online in advance, attend the morning workshop, and bring their own bike and helmet.

The bike plan is intended to guide planning, development, and management of bicycle infrastructure and multi-modal connections within the city.

Comments on the plan can also be submitted through an online survey or by calling 847-448-4311.
