Two locked bicycles have been reported stolen—one in the 500 block of Elmwood Avenue, the other in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue. These among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.


500 Elmwood

A locked bicycle was stolen from an apartment common area in the 500 block of Elmwood Avenue between July 12 and 11 p.m. yesterday.

1700 Sherman

A locked bicycle was stolen off the street in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 5:30 p.m. yesterday.


2645 Asbury

Elizabeth Anne Marino, 51, of 9201 Austin Ave., Morton Grove, was arrested at 2645 Asbury Ave. at 10:30 p.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
