Bikes taken from the yard of a home on Pitner Avenue and a purse stolen from LA Fitness on Sherman Avenue were among incidents included in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Theft

1400 Pitner

Bicycles were reported taken from the yard of a home in the 1400 block of Pitner Avenue between 12:15 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. yesterday.

1600 Sherman

A purse was stolen from a locked locker at LA Fitness in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. yesterday.

Battery

950 Dobson

Kevin David Jackson. 26, of 1524 N. Artesian Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 960 Dobson St. at 12:18 p.m. yesterday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on Oct. 3 at 9:30 a.m.

Traffic

1015 Howard

Joseph C. Brooks, 27, of 2032 Dewey Ave., was arrested at 1015 Howard St. at 10 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Oct. 31 at 9 a.m.

1418 Washington

Carina Loza, 27, of 6927 N. Greenview Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1418 Washington St. at 10:37 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Oct. 24 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
