State Sen. Daniel Biss (D-Evanston) returns to his college professor roots with a new website featuring video talks and data-driven narratives about what's wrong with Illinois and how to fix it.
In an introductory presentation posted this week, Biss decries what he calls Gov. Rauner's "race to the bottom" and says the state should capitalize on its highly-educated work force to create "a high-wage, high-skill thriving economy."
Biss also calls for attacking the structural causes of corruption in state politics — including reducing "the proliferation of unscrutinized silos all across government."
What he promises will be a continuing series of explorations of the issues can be found online.
