With construction continuing on the nine-story apartment project at 811 Emerson St., the management company CA Ventures has launched a website for the development and is preparing to open a leasing office two blocks away.

Now branded “The Link Evanston” the tower will offer apartments ranging from 386 square foot studios to 1,051 square foot three bedroom units and, with those smallish unit sizes, the developers are placing a lot of emphasis on the building’s amenities.

Meanwhile, Comcast has announced it will open an Xfinity Store in Evanston at 1608 Sherman Ave. around the end of the year.
The new store will give visitors hands-on experience with Xfinity’s range of products and services, from the company’s mobile phone service, Xfinity Mobile, cable TV and high-speed Internet, to its home security platform, Xfinity Home.
The store also will feature iPads and other mobile devices visitors can use to explore Xfinity’s Android and iOS apps.
Along with product and service demos, customers will be able to pay bills, pick up and return equipment and get assistance from sales and service consultants. Store hours will be Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays from 12 to 5 p.m.
