Evanston police say they’ve now identified the man whose body was found floating on the Lake Michigan shoreline near South Boulevard Beach last Saturday afternoon.
Police Cmdr. Ryan Glew says he was Sheng Yuan Ma, a 36-year-old Evanston resident who was a student at Northwestern University.
Glew says the cause and manner of Ma’s death remains undetermined, pending results of toxicology tests.
