A neighborhood book box containing books available for the taking at Bent Park in the 3200 block of Harrison Street was damaged between 9 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. yesterday.
Two trees were damaged at James Park in the 300 block of Dodge Avenue between midnight Friday and 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
A screen door was damaged at an apartment in the 300 block of Dempster Street around 9 p.m. Friday.
A window was broken at a public building in the 2000 block of Dewey Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
A window was damaged at a home in the 1800 block of Wesley Avenue between August 20 and 3:15 p.m. yesterday.
Ulrico Gasperin, 36, of 1411 Pitner Ave., was arrested at that address at 10:48 a.m. yesterday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on Sept. 30 at 9:30 a.m.
Earwin E. Hemphill, 39, of 800 Dobson St., was arrested at that address at 10 a.m. yesterday and charged with domestic battery.
Preston Miller, 56, of 1710 Orrington Ave., was arrested at 1616 Sherman Ave. at 8:28 p.m. Friday and charged with battery. He is due in court on Oct. 23 at 10:30 a.m.
Blaine F. Pratt, 20, of 1025 Sherman Ave., was arrested at 708 Main St. at 5:08 p.m. yesterday and charged with battery. He is due in court on Oct. 30 at 10:30 a.m.
A bicycle and tools were taken from a 2010 Subaru in the 800 block of Milburn Street between 6:30 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.
Photo equipment was taken from a retail establishment in the 700 block of Howard Street between 8 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. yesterday.
Earl M. Johnson, 33, of 16437 Oxford Drive, Markham, was arrested at St. Francis Hospital at 3 a.m. today and charged with trespassing on real property. He is due in court on Oct. 23 at 9 a.m.
Emerson at Brown
Police received a report of a man with a gun near Emerson Street and Brown Avenue at 3:39 a.m. Saturday. They checked the area but found no man with a gun.
Gunshots were reported in the 2000 block of Grant Street at 1:24 a.m. today. Police checked the area but found nothing.
Washington at Chicago
A Marin bicycle was stolen from Washington Street and Chicago Avenue between 8:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
Cosmetics were stolen from the Whole Foods grocery store in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue at noon Friday.
Alcoholic products and food were stolen from the Target store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 5:37 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday.
A secured bicycle was stolen from the driveway of a home in the 2300 block of Prairie Avenue between 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday.
Food was stolen from a gas station in the 400 block of Asbury Avenue around 11:15 a.m. Saturday.
James Kurt Redman, 34, of 1712 W. Albion Ave, Chicago, was arrested at 1128 Chicago Ave. at 4:04 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Oct. 16 at 10:30 a.m.
Dodge at Lee
Jaron A. Thompson, 29, of 827 Seward St., was arrested at Dodge Avenue and Lee Street at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Oct. 20 at 10:30 a.m.
