Are your bookshelves bursting at the seams? Would you like to support literacy programs in Evanston? Today’s the day clear the shelves and help out.

Donating your gently used books is one of the easiest ways to support literacy programs at Oakton and Kingsley elementary schools.

The book drive is today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot behind the Evanston Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave. Volunteers are also needed to help collect and unload books from donor vehicles, sort books into general categories, and pack books up to send off to the Open Books warehouse.
