Here's a recap of our live coverage of this evening's Evanston City Council Administration and Public Works Committee meeting.

About 6:05 p.m., Committee Chair Brian Miller says the committee lacks a quorum, that public comment will be taken at this meeting, but no action will be taken on any of the agena items until the full City Council meetin later tonight. (Only Miller and Alderman Ann Rainey are present of the committee's four members.)
Public Comment
Dr. Toni Bark speaks against the use of Roundup in city park. Says MWRD has policy against using it on its properties. Says causes damage to environment.
Chava Wu, Chair of Woman's Club of Evanston, says the club opposes proposed sale of the city parking lot adjacent to the club's building. Says doesn't want to lose parking spaces and claims a new building would potentially damage the club's 104-year-old building.
Laura McFarlane, neighbor of Ryan Field parking lot, says neighbors want a one lane alley, rather than the two lane alley proposed by city staff. Says would be a signficant financial saving to the city.
Assistant City Manager Marty Lyons says staff wants to postpone its presentation on pesticides until the next City Council meeting.
Alderman Ann Rainey, 8th Ward, says would prefer to do it tonight at full City Council meeting.
City Manager Wally Bobkiewicz says he's concerned about the length of the agenda tonight — given that there won't be a consent agenda from the A&PW meeting tonight.
Rainey says if the council can't show up on time, then they need to stay late.
