Here’s a recap of our live coverage of this evening’s Evanston City Council Administration and Public Works Committee meeting, which will see aldermen discuss buying a new fire engine, placing space available signs on city garages and approving two gift agreements from youth hockey organizations for the Robert Crown Center.

Alderman Tom Suffredin, 6th Ward, says should be stronger and he’s going to vote no on it.
Approved 4-1 Suffredin votes no.
A3 – Parking analytics and garaage capacity signs
A5 – New replacement fire engine purchase $659,200.
Alderman Ann Rainey, 8th Ward, asks whether have bought from this company in the past.
Told by fleet manager yes, all the current fire engines are from Pierce.
Rainey recommends accepting reduced payment for prepayment in February, saving about $11K.
