Here’s a recap of our live coverage of this evening’s Evanston City Council meeting.

The meeting is scheduled to begin shortly after 9 p.m.

One of the items on tonight’s agenda, item A6, is a plan for the city to lease the former Shore Services property at 2525 Church St. from the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District for use as a new city park.

Meeting called to order at 9:07 p.m. Alderman Wilson and Fleming are absent tonight.

Tina Paden complains that Airbnb properties (in single family homes) wouldn’t have to pay higher rental property tax rates.

New 5th Ward meeting place… G300 in Civic Center … says will have bus service from Jacob Blake and Primm Towers.

Makes reference regarding micro-bus service from transit stations. Suggests Phoenix has partnered with Lyft.

Council votes to go into executive session.
