The driver of a city trash truck emptying refuse cans at James Park in Evanston this morning got a surprise when the right rear wheel of his truck fell into a sinkhole as he rolled across a field at the park.

A crew from North Shore Towing was called to try to pull the truck back out of the sinkhole.

Apparently no one was injured in the incident, which happened about 9 a.m.
