The weekend disturbances against the Northwestern University Police Department generated some 17 reports of graffiti throughout central Evanston that were reported in Monday’s crime bulletin issued by Evanston police.

Reports of the damage were noted on Davis Street, Sheridan Road, Clark Street, Chicago Avenue, and Sherman Avenue, as peaceful demonstrations against the campus police erupted Saturday night into episodes of paint being sprayed on police officers and others.

GRAFFITI

800 Davis

Graffiti was discovered on the sidewalk in the 800 block of Davis Street at 1:06 a.m. yesterday.

1700-1800 Sheridan

Five incidents of graffiti were discovered on the sidewalk in the 1700 and 1800 blocks of Sheridan Road around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

600 Clark

Three incidents of graffiti were discovered on the street in the 600 block of Clark Street around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

1600-1800 Chicago

Three incidents of graffiti were discovered in the 1600-1800 blocks of Chicago Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

1500-1700 Sherman

Graffiti was discovered at the Hyatt House and a restaurant in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue around 8 a.m. yesterday and on the sidewalk in the 1700 block of Sherman around 3:45 p.m. Saturday.

1700 Orrington

Two incidents of graffiti were discovered on the sidewalk and in the street in the 1700 block of Orrington Avenue around 11:30 p.m. yesterday.

BATTERY

633 Church

Maya Skye Mojica, 20, of 1709 Ridge Ave., was arrested at 633 Church St. at 10:35 p.m. Saturday and charged with battery.

BURGLARY

900 Judson

Someone stole a purse that contained jewelry from a 2014 Hyundai after smashing the front passenger window of the vehicle between 7:30 p.m. Friday and noon on Saturday.

800 Michigan

Cash was taken from a 2011 Chevrolet in the 800 block of Michigan Avenue between 4 p.m. Friday and 8:15 p.m. Saturday.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

1900 Howard

A 2010 Lincoln was spray-painted in an apartment parking space in the 1900 block of Howard Street between 7 p.m. Friday and 5:20 a.m. Saturday.

1600 Chicago

A glass window was broken at the Whole Foods Market in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue around 12:30 a.m. yesterday.

600 Davis

A window was cracked at a restaurant in the 600 block of Davis Street around 11 p.m. Saturday.

1100 Pitner

Someone threw paint on the garage of a home in the 1100 block of Pitner Avenue around noon on Friday.

2000 Ridge

Someone smashed the rear window of a 2014 Ford in the 2000 block of Ridge Avenue between 10:30 p.m. Friday and 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

OTHER

1751 Howard

Leonzio Osorio, 45, of 6343 N. Greenview Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1751 W. Howard St. at 5:05 p.m. Saturday and charged with child endangerment. He is due in court on Dec. 14 at 9 a.m.

THEFT

600 Davis

Food was removed from the lobby of a restaurant in the 600 block of Davis Street on Thursday at 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and on Friday at 3:48 p.m.

1600 Sherman

A scooter was stolen from the downtown Target store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue around 3:32 p.m. Saturday.

1600 Dempster

Someone attempted to remove a package from a home in the 1600 block of Dempster Street at 4:23 p.m. yesterday.

2200 Lincoln

Someone removed a political sign from the yard of a home in the 2200 block of Lincoln Street at 9:15 p.m. Saturday.

2100 Orrington

Someone removed a political sign from the yard of a home in the 2100 block of Orrington Avenue between 9 p.m. Friday and 7:15 a.m. Saturday.

TRAFFIC

605 Dempster

Manuel Agualema, 40, of 2211 Kildare Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 605 Dempster St. at 1:39 a.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on Dec. 7 at 9 a.m.

1001 Hull

Kirby D. Graham, 27, of 310 Stevens Court, Grayslake, was arrested at 1001 Hull St. at 11:17 a.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Dec. 9 at 1:30 p.m.

852 Ridge

Amelia C. Hayes, 23, of 933 S. Martin Luther King, Waukegan, was arrested at 852 Ridge Ave. at 3:45 p.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Dec. 2 at 10:30 a.m.

1925 Emerson

Alexis A. Marin Patino, 24, of 5063 N. Wolcott Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1925 Emerson St. at 7:50 a.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence. She is due in court on Dec. 14 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute an assumption of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
