The Walgreens store at 635 Chicago Ave. in Evanston was closed for part of the day Sunday after a burglar broke in late Saturday night.

Evanston police say the burglar broke through a glass door on the north side of the store about 11:30 p.m.

An alarm company notified police, but by the time officers arrived the thief had made off with about 20 packs of cigarettes and two bottles of liquor.

From surveillance video police say the male burglar was wearing a face mask and had a gray hat, a green jacket, white shirt and dark grey pants.
