Cash was taken from an unlocked BMW in the driveway of a home in the 400 block of Wesley Avenue around 2:30 a.m.yesterday.

Graffiti

800 Washington

Graffiti was discovered on the garage of a home in the 800 block of Washington Street at 1:43 p.m. yesterday.

Other

901 Maple

Eddie L. Watson, 55, of 8042 S. Ellis Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 901 Maple Ave. at 8 p.m. Sunday and charged with failure to register as a child sex offender.

Theft

1400 Brummel

An item left unattended on the sidewalk in the 1400 block of Brummel Street was stolen between 1:18 p.m. Monday and 1:18 p.m. yesterday.

Traffic

100 Chicago

David Aguilar, 24, of 6441 N. Clark St., Chicago, was arrested at 100 Chicago Ave. at 11:16 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on July 6 at 1:30 p.m.

2300 Oakton

James Mason, 66, of 5316 S. Harper Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 2300 Oakton St. at 8:41 p.m. Thursday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on June 19 at 10:30 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
