A Northwestern graduate student was the victim of an attempted burglary and battery in his apartment in Evanston this afternoon.

Northwestern University police say that about 3:15 p.m. a man entered the student’s apartment in the 2200 block of Sherman Avenue through an unlocked back door.

The student confronted the man, who struck the student and then fled.

No weapon was displayed in the incident. The student declined medical attention.

  1. Off-campus thief

    No off-campus burglaries for over a year, now three in two months, same guy? Lock your doors when home and definitely when not. I wish i had the description of the intruder. so i can keep and eye out for this thief.
