Burglaries claim TV set, bikes

A 50-inch television set and two bicycles were among items taken in recent burglaries. These among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Battery

137 Ridge

Thanh Dieu Hoang, 18, of 137 Ridge Ave., was arrested at that address at 11:42 a.m. Tuesday and charged with battery. He is due in court on Feb. 8 at 9:30 a.m.

Burglary

300 Florence

Burglars entered through an unlocked garage door in the 300 block of Florence Avenue between midnight and 6 a.m. Tuesday and stole two bicycles.

600 Custer

An unlocked door provided access for a burglary at a home in the 600 block of Custer Avenue between 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. yesterday. Taken was a 50-inch Samsung television set.

Graffiti

800 Colfax

Graffiti was discovered on Chicago Transit Authority property in the 800 block of Colfax Street at 12:55 p.m. yesterday.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
