Burglaries were reported in the 300 block of Dempster Street and the 1400 block of Sherman Avenue. These among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

300 Dempster

A burglar forced entry to the garage of a home in the 300 block of Dempster Street between 10:20 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. yesterday and stole a bicycle.

1400 Sherman

A burglar was unsuccessful in an attempt to move copper from the seventh floor to the first floor at a construction site in the 1400 block of Sherman Avenue.

Battery

901 Ridge

Robert N. Saenz, 43, of 3053 N. LeClaire Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 901 Ridge Ave. at 7:24 p.m. yesterday and charged with battery. He is due in court on April 12 at 10:30 a.m.

Criminal Damage

200 Elmwood

Someone damaged the window of a home in the 200 block of Elmwood Avenue shortly before midnight yesterday.

Theft

1100 Chicago

Someone stole alcoholic products at the Jewel grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue around 6:40 p.m. yesterday.

An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
