Two unlocked Subarus in the 1600 block of Seward Street were accessed by burglars this week. These among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

1600 Seward

Cash and cell phones were taken from a 2018 Subaru and a 2019 Subaru—both unlocked– between Tuesday and 11 a.m. yesterday in the 1600 block of Seward Street.

1500 Main

Miscellaneous merchandise was taken from an unlocked garage in the 1500 block of Main Street between Dec.19 and midnight Tuesday. 

Criminal Trespass

836 Chicago

Jarquice Bufford, 21, of 101 N. Bramble, Manteno, was arrested at 836 Chicago Ave. at 3:13 p.m. Monday and charged with trespassing on real property. She is due in court on Jan. 28 at 9 a.m.

Theft

2200 Oakton

Merchandise was stolen from a hardware store in the 2200 block of Oakton Street around 3:30 p.m. yesterday.

800 Grey

A black 2019 BMW was stolen from the 800 block of Grey Avenue between 7:15 p.m. and 11:13 p.m. yesterday.

600 Chicago

Cosmetics were stolen from the Walgreens Pharmacy in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue around 11:30 a.m. yesterday.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
