Burglars were able to enter a home in the 1300 block of Greenwood Street by way of an unlocked patio sliding door.  This among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

1300 Greenwood

An unlocked patio sliding door provided access for burglars to a  home in the 1300 block of Greenwood Street shortly before midnight yesterday. A purse, bag, and keys were among items reported stolen.

2100 Orrington

A purse, a bag, and cash were taken from an unlocked 2018 Nissan in the 2100 block of Orrington Avenue between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. yesterday.

300 Custer

Burglars entered an apartment in the 300 block of Custer Avenue through an unsecured window between 9:30 a.m. Monday and 9 p.m. yesterday.

Criminal Damage

2100 Darrow

Someone keyed a 2013 Kia from the front passenger door to the rear door in the 2100 block of Darrow Avenue between 1 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. yesterday.

Theft

100 Asbury

Someone took hygiene products off the shelf without paying for them at the CVS Pharmacy in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue around 7 p.m. yesterday.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
