Photo equipment, computer hardware, and cash were among items found by burglars in unlocked cars on Hinman Avenue and Sherman Avenue. These among stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.


Hinman at Greenleaf

Photo equipment and computer hardware were stolen from an unlocked 2004 Honda near Hinman Avenue and Greenleaf Street between Sept. 18 and Sept. 21.

2000 Sherman

Cash was taken from an unlocked 2006 Volkswagen in the 2000 block of Sherman Avenue between noon Monday and 1 p.m. yesterday.


1500 Ridge

Unsecured electronic equipment was stolen from an apartment common area in the 1500 block of Ridge Avenue between 3:30 p.m.  Nov. 29 and 6 p.m. on Nov. 30.


300 Chicago

Tiana R. Banks, 25, of 1938 Grey Ave., was arrested at 300 Chicago Ave. at 6:21 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Jan.10 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
