BURGLARY
1100 Chicago
A purse was taken from an unlocked 2001 Mitsubishi in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue between 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. Monday.

1200 Darrow
Miscellaneous items were removed by a burglar who ransacked an unlocked 2008 Volvo in the 1200 block of Darrow Avenue around midnight on April 18.

BATTERY
1704 Dodge
Alexandria Brown, 25, of 1043 Darrow Ave., was arrested at 1704 Dodge Ave. at 3:31 p.m. Thursday and charged with domestic battery.

SHOTS HEARD
100 Elmwood
Gunshots were reported in the 100 block of Elmwood Avenue at 7:52 p.m. Thursday. Police checked the area but found nothing.

THEFT
1100 Chicago
Someone stole alcoholic products from the Jewel-Osco grocery store in the 1100 block of Chicago Avenue at about 10 p.m. Thursday.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute an assumption of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place at Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
