Two unlocked cars yielded wallets to burglars who entered them recently. These among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

BURGLARY

Lee at Forest

A wallet and its contents were stolen from an unlocked 2015 Nissan near Lee Street and Forest Avenue between 4 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday.

300 Custer

A wallet and its contents were stolen from an unlocked 2009 Toyota in the 300 block of Custer Avenue between midnight Sunday and 1:51 p.m. yesterday.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

1400 Pitner

A window was broken on a 2004 BMW in the 1400 block of Pitner Avenue at about 10:06 p.m. Thursday.

THEFT

2400 Oakton

Surveillance video showed a gray 2007 Toyota Prius being stolen at about 3:20 a.m. Saturday from an auto repair facility in the 2400 block of Oakton Street. Police speculate that a key fob may have been left inside the vehicle, as a key to the Prius was still inside the shop.

800 Hinman

Packages were stolen from the lobby of residences in the 800 block of Hinman Avenue between 9 a.m. Saturday and 5:37 p.m. yesterday.

Packages were stolen from the lobby of a residence in the 800 block of Hinman Avenue between 2:56 p.m. Friday and 2:56 p.m. Sunday.

900 Sherman

A package was stolen from a residence in the 900 block of Sherman Avenue at 1:02 p.m. Saturday.

2400 Howard

Alcoholic products were stolen from a grocery store in the 2400 block of Howard Street at about 4:50 p.m. Sunday.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute an assumption of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
