Graffiti was discovered on the sidewalk near Sheridan Road and Arnold Place at 12:55 p.m. yesterday.
Theft
1000 Grove
Someone took a purse or wallet from an unsecured locker at the McGaw YMCA around 5:03 p.m. yesterday.
2100 Dempster
A 2019 GMC vehicle that was rented from U-Haul in the 2100 block of Dempster Street was never returned and was reported stolen at 3:09 p.m. yesterday.
100 Asbury
Body spray and lotion were taken from the CVS Pharmacy in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue around 9:25 p.m. yesterday.
Traffic
3337 Golf
Crystal T. Beckford, 25, of 9008 W. Ballard, Des Plaines, was arrested at 3337 Golf Road at 7:57 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Dec. 18 at 10:30 a.m.
An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
