Battery

1618 Benson

Blair M. Devine, 31, of 1400 W. Greenleaf Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1618 Benson Ave. at 4:38 p.m. yesterday and charged with battery. He is due in court on July 31 at 9 a.m.

Burglary

800 Crain

A Weatherman knife was taken from a 2012 BMW in the 800 block of Crain Street between 6 a.m. Friday and 8:24 a.m. yesterday.

Graffiti

1200 Hinman

Graffiti was discovered at 1:42 p.m. yesterday on the street in the 1200 block of Hinman Avenue.

600 Mulford

Graffiti was discovered at 9:21 a.m. yesterday on railroad property in the 600 block of Mulford Street.

Theft

2200 Howard

A cell phone was removed from the victim’s purse in a store in the 2200 block of Howard Street between 3 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. Saturday.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
