Burglary
2400 Main
A purse was taken from an unlocked 2013 Chrysler in a business parking lot in the 2400 block of Main Street around 3 p.m. Sunday.
1400 Maple
A bicycle was taken from the unlocked garage of a home in the 1400 block of Maple Avenue between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 8:45 a.m. yesterday.
200 Ridge
Burglars forced the front door to an apartment in the 200 block of Ridge Avenue between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. yesterday and took cash and pieces of jewelry.
1800 Lyons
Keys were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 1800 block of Lyons Street around 7:33 p.m. yesterday.
Other
1900 Jackson
Police checked out a report of a man with a gun seen in the 1900 block of Jackson Avenue around 5:07 p.m. yesterday, but they found no man with a gun.
Traffic
901 Austin
Craig L. Barton, 58, of 9996 Holly Lane, Des Plaines, was arrested at 901 Austin St. at 6:10 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Jan. 30 at 10:30 a.m.
