Burglars take jewelry from home on Lake

A diamond ring, emerald ring, and an antique watch were among items taken from a home in the 2200 block of Lake Street. This among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Burglary

2200 Lake

A burglary that occurred between 10 a.m. and noon yesterday in the 2200 block of Lake Street claimed a diamond ring, emerald ring, and an antique watch.

Graffiti

Elmwood at Dempster

Graffiti was found on the street near Elmwood Avenue and Dempster Street at 7:49 a.m. yesterday.

Theft

100 Chicago

Gas was stolen from a service station in the 100 block of Chicago Avenue at about 4:45 p.m. yesterday.

1640 Chicago

Catherine M. Sanders, 27, of 2214 Ewing Ave., was arrested at 1640 Chicago Ave. at 7:46 p.m. yesterday and charged with retail theft. She is due in court on March 21 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
