Burglaries in the 800 block of Forest Avenue and the 1700 block of Central Street resulted in missing laptop computers. These among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.


2536 Lawndale

Roger M. Haasroche, 38, of 6326 N. Lakewood, Chicago, was arrested at 2536 Lawndale Ave. at 11:50 p.m. Sunday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on May 6 at 9:30 a.m.


800 Forest

A laptop computer was taken in the burglary of an apartment in the 800 block of Forest Avenue between 1:15 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. yesterday.

1700 Central

A laptop computer was taken from a business establishment in the 1700 block of Central Street between 2:24 a.m. Sunday and 6:30 a.m. yesterday.


Criminal Damage

900 Hinman

A Mazda was scratched in an apartment parking lot in the 900 block of Hinman Avenue between 6 p.m. April 15 and 8 a.m. yesterday.

2100 Dewey

A 2003 Ford sustained a damaged windshield on the street in the 2100 block of Dewey Avenue between 10 p.m. Saturday and 6:30 a.m. yesterday.

355 Ridge

Jesse J. Huston, 18, of 17301 Highland Court, Hazelcrest, was arrested at 355 Ridge Ave. at 12:03 a.m. yesterday and charged with criminal trespass land. He is due in court on May 27 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
