700 Monroe

An attempt was made to kick the door in to an apartment common area in the 700 block of Monroe Street around 9 a.m. yesterday.

Drugs

2301 Oakton

William A. Scott, 25, of 1650 W. Jonquil Terrace, Chicago, was arrested at 2301 Oakton St. at 10:05 p.m. Sunday and charged with possession of cannabis. He is due in court on April 23 at 1:30 p.m.

Traffic

Oakton at Asbury

Alfred S. Newbern, 37, of 1711 Dodge Ave., was arrested at Oakton Street and Asbury Avenue at 3:05 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on April 6 at 10:30 a.m.

Asbury at Kirk

Assael Ramirez-Parra, 27, of 1040 Ashland Ave., was arrested at Asbury Avenue and Kirk Street at 5:23 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on April 20 at 10:30 a.m.

1100 Crain

Clemont Z. White, 45, of 8227 Kilpatrick Ave., Skokie, was arrested at 1100 Crain St. at 5:25 p.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on April 20 at 1:30 p.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
