Burglars grabbed a tablet computer from a home in the 800 block of Gaffield Place, and some bicycles were stolen from an apartment storage area in the 600 block of Hinman Avenue. Those among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

800 Gaffield

A tablet computer was among items taken in the burglary of a  home in the 800 block of Gaffield Place between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. yesterday.

Battery

117 Callan

James Ross Weber, 30, of 117 Callan Ave., was arrested at that address at 6:41 p.m. Friday and charged with domestic battery. 

Theft

600 Hinman

Two bicycles were removed from the storage area of an apartment building in the 600 block of Hinman Avenue between noon Sunday and 7 p.m. yesterday.

1600 Sherman

Clothing items were taken from an unlocked locker at a health club in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue between 11:30 a.m. and 12:25 p.m. yesterday.

100 Asbury

A shoplifter removed dishwashing detergent from the shelves of a grocery store in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue around 5:20 p.m. yesterday.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
