  1. Why do people leave garages and cars unlocked?

    Leaving items in sight and unlocked just feeds these crimes of opportunity.  Locking and removing the temptation keeps 'honest people honest'.

    Why do people continue to take the risk when it is clear that trust is misplaced?  Discuss.

    1. Unlocked areas

      Every time I read about items being taken from cars and garages, it mentions that they are unlocked….and NOT just in Evanston.  It happens everywhere!   This is NOT Mayberry, folks.  I see purses in shopping carts, or hung over the back of chairs in restaurants,  etc…..some people never learn!   Common sense seems to be greatly lacking in our society.
