Evanston police are investigating a total of eight bicycle thefts in the city over the past weekend. These among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from the department.
An attempt was made to pry open the door of a garage in the 1600 block of Greenwood Street between 9 a.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. yesterday.
Both a mens and a womens bicycle were stolen from the unlocked garage of a home in the 2500 block of Noyes Street between 10 a.m. Friday and 5 p.m. Saturday.
A bicycle was stolen from the unlocked garage of a home in the 1000 block of Austin Street between 7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. yesterday.
Cash was stolen from a 2009 Buick parked unlocked in the driveway of a home in the 900 block of Edgemere Court between 5 p.m. Thursday and 5:30 a.m. Friday.
Cash and a GPS unit were stolen from a 2006 Ford parked unlocked in the 1100 block of Hinman Avenue between 4 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. Friday.
Cash, a GPS unit, and a multi-gear bicycle were stolen from the unlocked garage of a home in the 2400 block of Noyes Street between 8 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.
Two mountain bikes were stolen from the unlocked garage of a home in the 2100 block of McDaniel Avenue between 9 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.
Someone forced the door open to a home in the 3000 block of Normandy Place between 9:40 a.m. and 9:54 a.m. Friday.
Someone flattened a tire and spray-painted a 2006 Jeep in the 1100 block of Washington Street between 8 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. yesterday.
2700 Gross Point
Graffiti was discovered at a park in the 2700 block of Gross Point Road at 7:35 a.m. Friday.
Jonquil at Paulina
Keith Dantrell Gordon, 21, of 1927 Jackson St., was arrested at Jonquil Terrace and Paulina Street, Chicago, at 6:51 p.m. Friday and charged with mob action. He is due in court on Sept. 27 at 1:30 p.m.
Ronald Hornish, 60, of 6531 N. Greenview Ave., Chicago, was arrested at that address at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday and charged with child pornography.
Nicolas Mayfield, 25, of 3925 W. 167th Place, Country Club Hills, was arrested at 1655 Foster St. at 11:39 p.m. Saturday and charged with a noise ordinance violation. He is due in court on Sept. 15 at 9 a.m.
Gunshots were reported in the 800 block of Main Street at 11:25 p.m. yesterday. Police checked the area but found nothing.
Cash was taken from a 2013 Kia parked in the alley in the 100 block of Clyde Avenue at about 10:15 a.m. on Aug. 8. Suspect is a 6-foot-tall black male weighing 150 pounds.
Two bicycles were stolen from the sidewalk in the 800 block of Dodge Avenue between 10 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Friday.
An 18-inch aluminum bicycle wheel was removed from a bike in the 900 block of Davis Street between 4 p.m. and 4:21 p.m. Wednesday.
Colorado license plates were removed from a 2004 Dodge in the 1900 block of Greenwood Street around 3 p.m. Friday.
A cell phone, left unattended in a public building in the 2000 block of McCormick Boulevard, was stolen around 11:45 p.m. Saturday.
Assorted color hair extensions were taken from a business establishment in the 1100 block of Howard Street around 11:56 a.m. Friday. Suspects include a 5-foot-3-inch-tall black female and a 5-foot-6-inch tall black female.
Gina Marie Sigrist, 51, of 1553 W. Hollywood, Chicago, was arrested at 1400 Greenleaf St. at 4 p.m.Thursday and charged with theft. She is due in court on Sept. 20 at 10:30 a.m.
William J. Collazo, 40, of 4848 W. Winthrop Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 1603 Howard St. at 4:30 p.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation.
Frederick Garcia, 36, of 835 Mulford St., was arrested at 7400 Ridge Ave., Chicago, at 6:21 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Sept. 8 at 9 a.m.
Miriam H. Garcia, 21, of 1826 W. Farwell, Chicago, was arrested at 312 Custer Ave. at 8:14 p.m. Friday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Sept. 27 at 9 a.m.
Mark J. Kuchuris, 48, of 6743 N. Laporte Ave., Lincolnwood, was arrested at 1013 Oakton St. at 6:49 p.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on Sept. 20 at 9 a.m.
Rendell D. Massie, 23, of 1932 Grey Ave., was arrested at 127 Main St. at 1 a.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence. He is due in court on Oct. 12 at 9 a.m.
Tamara Y. Stewart-Hadaway, 39, of 1315 Pitner Ave., was arrested at 1900 Dewey Ave. at 3:50 p.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation. She is due in court on Oct. 4 at 10:30 a.m.
